Each group has a key worker, and each child will have a person they can build a relationship with. That key worker is responsible for the care of the children within their group. They have to make sure that the children are cared for and are thriving to develop to the best of their abilities.

The nursery's cook is Jeanette Workman she provides a balanced and nutritious home cooked lunch for the children and works off a three week menu which is available to view.

Your child is being cared for during their most formative years. Mother Goose caters for children from birth to 8 years old. We can look after children who may require additional support, due to special needs. However additional advice from other agencies may be required (refer to our S.E.N. policy) In order to maintain the highest standards in the nursery, it is important that parents read the Policies and Procedures and adhere to them.

SETTLING IN

Children are invited to enjoy a Taster Day before enrolling. When a child is accepted by the nursery, arrangements will be made for a further visit so that the child can familiarise themselves further with their surroundings. The nursery staff will work in partnership with parents to settle the child into their new environment.

During the first few weeks, parents can stay with the child for sufficient time so that the child feels settled and the parents feel comfortable about leaving them. For the first few sessions, parents may collect the child whenever they wish. No child will be taken on an outing from the nursery until they are completely settled.
